Personality:Jay is a simple 16 year old guy. He is kind and has a good sense of duty. He is very charismatic and very open to everything. He likes helping but at times he can jokingly be selfish, "Aw man I wanted that piece of meat!!". He likes the outdoors and outdoor activities, such as swimming, fishing, climbing, and etc. The only thing he dislikes would have to be spicy foods. He's a very lax guy and doesn't have a temper but when he does get angry I let's just say it isn't pretty. He's very analytical in a battle and can come up with a strategy fast but he rarely shows his tactical prowess.

History: As a child Raine had the love to explore. Pretty much from the moment he woke up to the minute he got home he was exploring. When Raine was at the age of 6, him and his friend Charlie where out in the forest and ran into a horde of watchog. The two had wandered to close to their nest and ticked them off. They started to be chased by the angry horde, running all frantic and what not. They had ran so far they eventually made it into a grassy opening. The Mankey were about to tear them to shreds until out of nowhere a bolt of lightning struck the group of Mankey. Raine had looked for what made the bolt and saw a large quadruped pokemon in the brush which charged towards them. It jumped over there heads and ran into the forest behind. Till this day Jay wondered what the pokemon was as well as sparking Hatarou intrest in Electric pokemon. (It was a Raikou)

Raine lived normally after that, still exploring and what not. Went to school, helped his parents out who had worked for the pokemon center. Nothing special happened until Hatarou finally graduated from school at age 16.

When Raine turned 16 he had went to that field where he saw that strange electric pokemon. It seemed time had froze in that area. Nothing big happened there except Raine had decided to become a trainer and pursue that pokemon that had saved him. There he went to his home to talk to his parents who agreed with his decision and helped him pack.
